Terror Module Busted: Punjab Police Arrest Key Operatives Linked to Goldy Dhillon in Ferozepur
In a significant breakthrough, Punjab’s Counter Intelligence unit in Ferozepur has apprehended Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh, key operatives of a terror module allegedly orchestrated by Germany-based Gurpreet Singh, also known as Goldy Dhillon. This module is reportedly linked to the notorious Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with purported backing from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The arrests led to the recovery of a 2.8 kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) containing 1.6 kg of RDX and a remote control, indicating plans for a targeted terrorist attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has declared a ₹10 lakh reward for information leading to the arrest of Goldy Dhillon, who is believed to be operating from Germany.
The Punjab Police have registered a case under the Explosive Substances Act at the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Mohali. Authorities have stated that these arrests have thwarted potential plans to disrupt peace and harmony in the region.
This development underscores the ongoing challenges posed by transnational terror networks and the importance of vigilant counter-terrorism efforts. The Punjab Police remain committed to dismantling such networks and ensuring the safety and security of the state.
