Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Meets IOC UK Leaders in London

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) UK leaders Kamal Dhaliwal and Gurminder Randhawa in London, highlighting the state government’s initiatives in health, education, tourism, and environmental conservation. The Chief Minister apprised them of the state’s progress, noting that Himachal Pradesh has risen from 21st to 5th rank in providing quality education due to the government’s pragmatic efforts.

Sukhu emphasized the state’s efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change, which has been adversely affecting the people of Himachal Pradesh. He stated that the state government is extending all possible assistance to disaster-affected families from its own resources. IOC UK President Kamal Dhaliwal commended the state government’s vision and commitment to sustainable growth and prosperity, saying it will be pioneering for other states.

The meeting was attended by MLA Dehra and the Chief Minister’s wife, Kamlesh Thakur, along with other IOC UK members, including General Secretary Vikram Duhan, Sandeep Soni, Mohammed Khaleelullah, Yash Solanki, Rupinder Gill, and Pammi Cheema. The Chief Minister’s engagement with the IOC UK leaders underscored the government’s commitment to transparency and community outreach.
