“CM Nayab Singh Leads Haryana Cabinet’s Ayodhya Visit, Prays for State’s Prosperity and Announces Major Pilgrimage Development Initiatives”
Chandigarh, June 24 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh, along with his entire cabinet and several legislators, visited Ayodhya to seek blessings from Shri Ramlala and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the state’s residents. Addressing the media at Chandigarh Airport, Singh expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit Ayodhya, emphasizing the significance of this pilgrimage as a fortunate event for all involved. He noted the growing number of devotees visiting Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh also highlighted the Haryana government’s efforts to promote religious tourism through the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, which facilitates visits to various holy sites for interested residents. The scheme has now been extended to include workers, with directives issued to department officials to develop a comprehensive plan for their participation.
Focusing on the development of pilgrimage sites in Haryana, Singh announced the allocation of approximately ₹250 crore for numerous projects in Kurukshetra, known as the land of the Gita. Recent developments include the inauguration of a Dialogue Centre and Experience Centre in Kurukshetra, which continues to attract thousands of devotees daily. Restoration work is underway at various Mahabharata-era sites, enhancing their historical and cultural significance.
Additionally, Singh mentioned ongoing renovation projects at significant religious sites such as Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple and Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara in Panchkula, as well as Shri Mata Sheetla Temple in Gurugram. The government is making special efforts to boost tourism, with initiatives like developing a jungle safari in Gurugram.
The visit to Ayodhya and the detailed plans for pilgrimage development reflect the Haryana government’s commitment to preserving and promoting religious heritage, fostering spiritual tourism, and enhancing the state’s cultural landscape. These initiatives are expected to significantly contribute to the state’s economy and tourism sector.
