AAP Announces Candidates for All 13 Punjab Lok Sabha Seats
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has completed its candidate list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Punjab, declaring contenders for all 13 parliamentary constituencies. In a recent announcement, AAP named four additional candidates, including former MLA Pawan Kumar Tinu for the Jalandhar reserve constituency.
Apart from Tinu, the newly declared candidates include three AAP MLAs: Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar for Ferozepur, Amansher Singh Kalsi for Gurdaspur, and Ashok Parashar Pappi for Ludhiana parliamentary seat. Brar represents Muktsar assembly seat, Kalsi is from Batala, and Pappi hails from Ludhiana Central assembly constituency.
The decision by AAP to field candidates for all seats in Punjab underscores its determination to contest fiercely in the upcoming polls. With polling scheduled for the last phase on June 1, the party’s move reflects its commitment to present a formidable challenge to its opponents.
In contrast, other major political parties in the state are yet to finalize their candidate lists. While the BJP has named candidates for nine seats, the Congress has announced contenders for six, and the Shiromani Akali Dal has revealed candidates for seven constituencies.
With AAP leading the charge with its full slate of candidates, the political landscape in Punjab is set for an intense electoral battle, promising a riveting contest in the Lok Sabha elections.
