The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023, marking a significant milestone in the recruitment process for various government departments. With a total of 2,855 candidates qualifying for the Personality Test, the examination aimed to fill 1,105 positions across diverse government services.

Aditya Srivastava emerged as the top scorer in the UPSC CSE 2023, securing the coveted first position. Following closely behind, Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy secured the second and third spots respectively. The UPSC announced that 1,016 candidates have successfully passed the examination and are now recommended for appointments to various central government services.

Notably, among the successful candidates, 352 women have received recommendations for appointments to different services, highlighting the increasing representation of women in government roles.

The rigorous selection process began with the preliminary examination held on May 28, 2023, followed by the mains exam conducted in September 2023. The UPSC CSE Mains result was announced on December 8, leading to the final phase of the selection process – the personality tests. These tests were conducted between January 2 and April 9, 2024, and only those who cleared the mains exam were invited to participate.

The announcement of the UPSC CSE 2023 results brings both pride and anticipation as successful candidates prepare to embark on their careers in the civil services, serving the nation and contributing to its governance and development.
